OUR INSPIRATION

The hostel commemorates the inspirational life of Lt. Shri Jaichandlalji Karwa, patriarch of the Karwa family, who made invaluable contributions to Maheshwari community & the society at large.

Shri Jaichandlalji Karwa was born in a very humble family in the year 1917 in a small village Sardi (Dis. Nagaur, Rajasthan). He lost his parents at a very early age. His quest for livelihood took him first to Biratnagar (Nepal), Kolkata & then finally to Mumbai. Back home, he shifted his family to Sujangarh (Dist. Churu, Rajasthan). He was ambitious & hardworking yet led a very simple life. His wisdom, maturity & composure made him a flagbearer amongst fellow Maheshwaris & the business community. He was popularly called as Bhaiji.
